Jarrah's Uplink
Hmmm... what to say. Oh, yes... Freelancer
is awesome! I was quite torn between continuing to play it all
evening, and doing the comic.
Luckily for you lot, the comic won.
Oh, and those of you who are likely to be in melbourne
on the 14th of June, COME
JOIN THE RANKS OF THE LIVING DEAD! I'll be there, yelling
"Braiiinsss" with the best of them.
Not really much else to say. Have a nice day!
Addendum: I've updated the cast page. Go check
it out.
And this week the invisible

John's Uplink
Having seen the new Indiana Jones flick the other
day, I think I'd like to share a few thoughts about this film.
Firstly, Harrison Ford is fantastic. Surprisingly for a sixtysomething,
he manages to pull off being a real action hero, and convey the
Indiana Jones magic, without breaking the suspension of disbelief.
It's a class act, and Ford's performance in many ways is the saving
grace of the movie.
Apart from Ford, unfortunately, the rest of the film is merely
okay; with a few good points. Shia LeBouf conspiciously fails
to be annoying, impressively enough, but doesn't really add much
to the film. The script is broken and rusty in many places. In
short, it hasn't the same gleam that the Last Crusade or Raiders
of the Lost Ark brought to the cinema.
It's worth seeing if you loved the old movies, but don't go expecting
it to blow you away. Apart from Harrison Ford's performance, it's
a pretty rusty follow-up to the older movies. |
