Jarrah's Uplink

Well, I'm happy. Its 1:37am, the comic is a bit late, and it has been hellishly hot all day, but I'm happy. Partly this is because I found a neat trick to make the comic easier to produce in future, partly because the cold change we've been promised since yesterday has come through. Partly because I have new shoes, which I ordered all the way from America.

But mostly because I spent the few days after new year's eve having the most fun I've had in ages, all thanks to my wonderful friends. Three days of Carcassonne, poker, Risus, thirteen (card game), and poke-jarrah-because-he-makes-funny-yelping-noises, as well as great conversations and food ensured a great time for all. If you were there, I'd just like to say thanks!

I'd like to bid everyone a happy welcome to 2008, and wish them all the best in the new year. With that bullshit out of the way, I can now concentrate more fully on communicating to you the awesomeness of technology. Scientists in Europe are currently preparing to test a particle supercollider by performing experiments that could, in theory, destroy the entire universe. Is that cool or what?
