If you look closely at this strip, you'll see what appears to be the alien from Alien in the background - strangely enough, this is a total coincidence. Weird. Also, we use the colour red for the first time ever - not a total coincidence, of course, red being the colour of love. Subtle? No. But subtlety is not our strong point. Well, not Jarrah's anyway.

So, apart from commenting on the colour of Arya's hair and the odd characters in the background, I'd like to direct you to a fantastic tale of space travel and steam power - 1910: A Space Odyssey! (warning: large PDF. 56k beware). I can't give this rip-roaring adventure serial enough praise - it's illustrated, imaginative, and intriguing.

The only downside is that it is (thus far) incomplete. You can check for new updates in the Writer's Forum at the AlternateHistory.com discussion boards, although you'll have to register to see that specific forum - which will also give you access to the other gems of alternate history writing available. Not to be missed
